    Welcome to the 996 Forum.  I am a very keen 996 owner (in fact that is my GT3 on the Home Page) and have been a strong Porsche enthusiast since we first bought a new Boxster (986), a ’99 in late fall of ’98 after being on a waiting list for a year.  Start by posting information about your ride or any questions you have, upgrades you are considering or have done.

    The struts that hold up the frunk and engine hood are weak.  The engine hood I prop open with a piece of wood.  The frunk holds occasionally.  I want to replace them.  Looking for brand suggestions and how difficult they are to replace. 2003 model.  Thanks.
